Time and time again, I hear newlyweds say they wish they had hired a professional to take their photos. With all the expenses involved in a wedding, most couples try to find ways to cut the cost of their special day. With the costs for food, decorations, entertainment, and location, why not just have family and friends take pictures for you? The answer to that is simple… after the decorations have been thrown away and the balloons have gone flat, and all the food has been eaten, there will only be one thing left over from your special day… your memories, and you want them to be the best they can be.

What should I wear to my shoot?

From engagements to family portraits, clean, simple, and color coordinating is always best for a traditional portrait. Blue jeans, Khaki’s or black pants are the best choices paired with a plain white or black shirt. Wanting to have a little fun? Don’t be afraid to wear complimentary but different colors. Western wear is also always a fun alternative… just some simple boots and hats work well to add that something special to the rest of your ensemble. Women, remember that simple clean makeup always works well with the camera. We adhere to that old simple rule that less is more. You want to see yourself in all your natural beauty.
